Winter Party Holidays: Where to Party from November to April

Zante, Mykonos and Albania close for winter; Malta, Tenerife and Punta Cana don't. How each one parties between November and April.

Winter Party Holidays: Where to Party from November to April

Who's open in winter, and who isn't

If you're planning a party holiday outside the summer, the Party Vibes map shrinks from six destinations to three. Zante's season runs roughly from May to September, and the 2026 Party Vibes calendar there ran from early July to early September. Mykonos, in the words of its own site, doesn't run all year: it opens around May and goes quiet by mid-October. And from around November most of the Albanian coast shuts, with the ferry from Corfu dropping to roughly one crossing a day.

That leaves Malta, Tenerife and Punta Cana, and they couldn't be more different. Malta becomes a club weekend with a city break attached, Tenerife keeps its strip going through a mild winter, and Punta Cana opens its Caribbean season just as Europe gets cold.

  • Malta: indoor clubs from October, New Year's Eve, Carnival in February.
  • Tenerife: a thinner calendar, but a strip that never fully closes.
  • Punta Cana: the last season ran from late January to the end of April.
  • Zante, Mykonos and Albania: back for summer, with lists open for the 2027 announcements.

Malta: clubs, New Year's Eve and Carnival

Malta's own guide is clear about what winter is and isn't. December to February is calm and mild, good for city breaks and exploring, but it's not beach season. The party side changes shape from October: the beach clubs close and the indoor clubs take over. The nightlife stays concentrated in Paceville, the compact party quarter of St Julian's, where you walk between venues.

The big date is New Year's Eve. Malta's NYE party tickets are among the first of the year to sell out, and Valletta hosts a public celebration with live entertainment and fireworks at midnight; in December and early January the capital also puts up large Christmas installations. After that, February brings Carnival, with special events around Valletta and Gozo. In 2026 the St Julian's clubs marked the season too, with a Valentine's Love Night at Toy Room and a Carnival masquerade night at TwentyTwo.

Practical points: most club nights in Malta are 17+ or 18+ and ID is checked at the door, so carry a passport or EU ID card rather than a photo of one. Buy tickets online ahead of the night. On maltapartyvibes.com the New Year's Eve page lets you join the list before tickets go on sale.

Tenerife: the strip that keeps going

Tenerife's nightlife is concentrated in Playa de las Américas on the south-west coast, around the Verónicas strip, and the island's own Party Vibes site says it never fully closes. Winters on the south coast stay mild, so the strip keeps working and weekends stay lively all year.

Be realistic about what changes. In winter the calendar is thinner and the big daytime formats, the pool parties and boat parties, mostly pause. What's left is club-led: in late October 2026, as this guide went live, tenerifepartyvibes.com was still listing club nights at Papagayo, Mala Mía and WILD, plus beach parties at Monkey Beach Club and OA Beach Club. Spring is the ramp-up, building steadily from around Easter until the peak season opens in late May.

That makes Tenerife a good fit for a long weekend of clubs rather than a week of daytime parties, and its site calls a winter or spring trip the cheapest way to see the island's nightlife. Stay in Playa de las Américas to walk home, or in Costa Adeje or Los Cristianos, both a short taxi ride away.

Punta Cana: the Caribbean season

For sun, sea and daytime parties in the middle of the European winter, Punta Cana is the one to look at. Its last season ran from late January to the end of April, and the weather is tropical all year. The 2027 dates haven't been announced yet; they come out with the ticket release.

The season is built on three parties that feel nothing alike. The pool party at Pearl Beach Club puts the Caribbean right in front of the pool deck. The White Party at Cielo Beach Club is strictly all-white, on the sand. And last season the boat party sailed on what was billed as the biggest catamaran on the island, with international DJs on deck, an open bar and a swim stop at the natural pools. It was strictly 18+, with ID checked at boarding.

Expect a different rhythm from Europe: the headline events run in daylight and early evening. Most visitors stay in Bávaro, spring break crews get their own guide on puntacana-partyvibes.com, and the list for the 2027 season is already open there.

How to pick your winter trip

The three winter options answer three different briefs, so start from the kind of trip you want rather than the map.

  • New Year's Eve, or a club weekend with a city break attached: Malta.
  • A long weekend of club nights in mild weather, almost any month: Tenerife.
  • Pool parties, a white party and a catamaran in the sun: Punta Cana, in its late-January-to-April season.
  • Already dreaming of summer: Zante, Mykonos and Albania are taking names for their 2027 announcements.

Book the trip first, the nights second

Whichever you choose, the order that works is the same. Flights and accommodation can be locked in now, while party dates are announced venue by venue, so fix your dates and your base first and add the nights as they're released.

worldpartyvibes.com lists the parties on sale across all six destinations, so you can see at a glance which ones are running during your dates. Then go deeper on the destination's own site: maltapartyvibes.com, tenerifepartyvibes.com or puntacana-partyvibes.com for a winter trip, or zantepartyvibes.com, mykonospartyvibes.com and albaniapartyvibes.com to get on the list for next summer.
