Boat Party Holidays: Malta, Zante, Albania & Punta Cana
Comino's lagoon, the Ionian off Zante and Saranda, or a Caribbean catamaran: how the boat parties in four Party Vibes destinations compare.

Why a boat party works so well
A boat party is the simplest kind of great day out: everyone in one place for a few hours, a DJ on deck, an open bar, and at some point the boat stops and you jump into clear water. Nobody wanders off and nobody has to agree on the next venue.
Four Party Vibes destinations have boat parties on their calendars: Malta, Zante, Albania and Punta Cana. They differ more than you'd think, in the time of day they sail, the season and the setting. Here's how they compare, based on what each destination's own site publishes. Exact 2027 dates and prices aren't out yet anywhere, so treat this as a guide to the formats rather than a timetable.
Malta: Comino, the Blue Lagoon and sunset party boats
Malta has several formats to choose from. The classic is the sail to Comino and the Blue Lagoon, with a swim stop and a DJ on deck. On top of that come the evening party boats: on maltapartyvibes.com the two main options are the Mega Boat Party and the White Boat Party, both on a large two-floor boat with an open bar included in the ticket and the sunset at sea. The White edition, as the name says, is the dress-in-white version.
Malta's core boat-party season runs from mid-June to late August, with July and early August the busiest, but special editions sail either side of it: in 2026 there was an Easter edition and an end-of-summer edition in September, both boarding at Sliema Ferries Terminal. Departure points vary by boat, so always follow the meeting point on your ticket. One rule worth knowing: once you're on board you stay until it docks, so check the total hours and the return time before you book.
Zante: from Zante Town to Navagio
According to its official listing, in 2026 Zante's boat party left Zante Town port in the late afternoon and sailed to Navagio (Shipwreck Beach), with a swim at the Blue Caves and an open bar on the way back.
The atmosphere is built around the Italian crowd that comes to Zante every summer, and it's one of the first events to sell out each season: in July and August places go weeks ahead and there's no buying a ticket at the port. Don't confuse it with the Mamma Mia! sea trip, a daytime boat trip with music for young travellers that, in 2026, left Laganas for Marathonisi and Keri.
Albania: three decks off Saranda
On the Albanian Riviera, the Vikingen is Saranda's party boat. It casts off from the waterfront in the late afternoon and, according to its official listing, runs three dance floors: commercial hits on one deck, reggaeton and Latin on another, and a foam party under the sunset sky on the third. There's an open bar for the whole cruise and swim stops in water clear enough to see the bottom. In 2026 it was back on the promenade around 9pm, with the whole night still ahead.
It's strictly 18+, with physical ID checked at boarding (a photo of your passport won't do), and the boat leaves on schedule. Tickets are sold in batches, with the price stepping up as each batch sells out, and albaniapartyvibes.com calls boat party tickets the fastest sellers of the week. For a daytime alternative, the El Mar Boat Tour heads out of Saranda to bays you can only reach from the water, such as Turtle Bay and Soldier Bay, with music on board and plenty of swim stops.
Punta Cana: the Caribbean catamaran
Punta Cana's boat party is the one that sails while Europe is in winter. Last season it went out on what was billed as the biggest catamaran on the island: international DJs on deck, an open bar and snacks, an animation crew running games, and a swim stop at the natural pools, where you stand chest-deep in the middle of the Caribbean.
It sailed during the day, it was strictly 18+ with ID checked at boarding, and you had to be at the boarding point twenty minutes before departure: the catamaran left on time and there was no catching it up. The last Punta Cana season ran from late January to the end of April, and 2027 dates come out with the ticket release.
What about Mykonos and Tenerife?
They're not on this list for a reason. mykonospartyvibes.com focuses on one club, We Love Myk Club in Mykonos Town, and there's no boat party on its calendar. Tenerife's calendar is built around clubs and beach clubs, and when this guide was written in late October 2026 there was no boat party on sale on tenerifepartyvibes.com, so check its calendar before planning a trip around one.
How to choose and book your boat party
Boats have a fixed capacity, so they tend to sell out before the club nights. Book the boat first and build the rest of the week around that day.
- Time of day: daytime sailings in Punta Cana and on Malta's Comino trips; a late-afternoon departure in Zante in 2026; sunset and evening party boats in Malta and Albania.
- Season: Punta Cana from late January to April last season; Malta's core season from mid-June to late August; Zante and Albania during their summer seasons.
- Age and ID: Albania and Punta Cana are strictly 18+ with ID checked at boarding, and most Malta boat parties are 18+. Carry original ID.
- Packing: swimwear under your outfit, a towel, sun cream and a light layer for the ride back after sunset.
- Where to look: worldpartyvibes.com lists the parties on sale across all six destinations, boats included.
Frequently asked questions
- Which Party Vibes destinations have boat parties?
- Malta, Zante, Albania and Punta Cana. Mykonos's site focuses on We Love Myk Club, and Tenerife had no boat party on sale when this guide was written in late October 2026.
- When is boat party season?
- In Malta the core season is mid-June to late August, with special editions either side. Zante and Albania sail during their summer seasons, and Punta Cana's last season ran from late January to the end of April.
- Do I need to be 18 for a boat party?
- Usually, yes. The Albania and Punta Cana boat parties are strictly 18+ with ID checked at boarding, and most Malta boat parties are 18+. Bring original ID, not a photo of it.
- Can I buy a boat party ticket at the port?
- Don't count on it. Zante's site says there's no option to buy at the port and places go weeks ahead in July and August. Boats have a fixed capacity and leave on time, so book online before you travel.
- What should I bring to a boat party?
- Swimwear under your outfit, a towel, sun cream, sunglasses and physical ID. On evening sailings a light layer helps, because wet clothes and wind get cold after sunset.
