When to Party Where: A Month-by-Month Party Season Calendar
Malta, Zante, Mykonos, Tenerife, Punta Cana and Albania don't share one season. Here's what's warming up, peaking or closed, month by month.

Six destinations, three different calendars
The six Party Vibes destinations don't share one party season. Zante, Mykonos and the Albanian Riviera live on a classic Mediterranean summer. Malta and Tenerife keep going for most of the year, with a big summer peak in the middle. And Punta Cana, on the other side of the Atlantic, runs its season during the European winter and spring. Pick your month first and the right destination usually picks itself.
This calendar is built from what each destination's own Party Vibes website publishes about its season. One honest caveat: nobody has 2027 dates, line-ups or prices yet. They're confirmed venue by venue when tickets go on sale, so read this as the shape of the year, not a timetable.
- Malta: a long season, strongest from late June to early September, closing the year with New Year's Eve.
- Zante: an island season of roughly May to September; the 2026 Party Vibes calendar ran from early July to early September.
- Mykonos: roughly May to October, at full speed in July and August.
- Albania (Sarandë and Ksamil): a beach season of roughly May to October, peaking in July and August.
- Tenerife: peak from late May to early October, and a nightlife that never fully closes.
- Punta Cana: the last season ran from late January to the end of April.
January to April: Caribbean season and Europe's warm-up
Early in the year, Punta Cana is the headline act. Its last season ran from late January to the end of April, built around three very different parties: a pool party at Pearl Beach Club, The White Party at Cielo Beach Club and a catamaran boat party. The weather is tropical all year, and puntacana-partyvibes.com even has a dedicated guide for spring break trips to Bávaro.
In Europe the picture is quieter, but not silent. Tenerife's strip in Playa de las Américas keeps working through the winter: the calendar is thinner and most of the big daytime formats pause, then things build steadily from around Easter. Malta is in its calm, mild season, and January and February are its cheapest, least crowded months. Carnival in February brings special events around Valletta and Gozo, St Patrick's Day in March fills St Julian's, and by April Malta's opening parties and rooftops are waking up.
May and June: the season switches on
May is opening month across the Mediterranean. Zante's season runs roughly from May to September, with May and June the quieter, cheaper start, but in 2026 the Party Vibes calendar only began in early July. Mykonos opens around May, with venues reopening one by one, and the beach season on the Albanian Riviera starts around the same time. In Tenerife, the peak season gets properly under way from late May.
June is the month many regulars quietly aim for. In Malta, every weekly night is running by mid-June and the pool parties start in earnest. Mykonos is at full speed from late June. Tenerife and Albania both point to June for the same reason: the summer programme is running, but with fewer people and lower prices for flights and rooms than in July and August.
July and August: everything on, everywhere in Europe
High summer is when all five European destinations run at full volume at the same time. July is the busiest month for Malta's clubs, with a summer music week that stacks afterparties across several venues, and mid-August around Ferragosto brings Italian nights and beach clubs at capacity. Zante is at full volume too: pool parties at Karma Beach Club, sunset sessions at El Paradiso, the boat party to Navagio and Italian urban and trap concert nights at the open-air Gatsby Theatre in Argassi.
Over in the Cyclades, We Love Myk Club in Mykonos Town runs its themed nights, from the Neon Party to The White Party. On the Albanian Riviera, summer 2026 brought White Parties on the sand in Ksamil, sunset pool parties in Ksamil and Saranda and the Vikingen boat party out on the Ionian. And Tenerife, in the words of its own site, is at the peak of its peak.
The trade-off is the same everywhere: the hottest weather, the most people, the highest prices and the fastest sell-outs. Lock in flights and accommodation first, then grab tickets the moment your nights are released. Punta Cana, meanwhile, is out of season.
September and October: the insider months
September is the month the Party Vibes sites keep recommending to people who've been before. Malta calls it the insider month: warm sea, cheaper flights and the parties still running. In Zante, the 2026 Party Vibes calendar ran into early September. Mykonos regulars like it because the water is at its warmest after a whole summer of sun. In Albania, the 2026 party calendar wrapped up in mid-September.
October splits the map. Zante's season is already over, and by mid-October most of Mykonos has gone quiet until the spring. In Malta the beach clubs close and the indoor clubs take over, with closing festivals early in the month and a Halloween weekend in Paceville. Tenerife's peak runs to early October, and then the strip simply carries on.
November and December: Malta, Tenerife and the countdown
From around November most of the Albanian coast shuts, and the Greek islands are on their winter break. That leaves Malta and Tenerife as the European options. In Malta the indoor clubs take over and the year ends with New Year's Eve, whose party tickets are among the first to sell out; Valletta adds a public celebration with live entertainment and fireworks at midnight. Tenerife's nightlife, as its own site puts it, never fully closes.
Whatever month you land on, the planning order is the same: choose the month, then the destination, then the nights. Each destination's site (maltapartyvibes.com, zantepartyvibes.com, mykonospartyvibes.com, tenerifepartyvibes.com, puntacana-partyvibes.com and albaniapartyvibes.com) shows what's on sale and has a list for next season's announcements, and worldpartyvibes.com brings the parties on sale across all six into one place.
Frequently asked questions
- Which party destinations are open in winter?
- In Europe, Malta and Tenerife. Malta's indoor clubs take over when the beach clubs close in October, and Tenerife's nightlife never fully closes, although its winter calendar is thinner. Across the Atlantic, Punta Cana's last season ran from late January to the end of April.
- When is peak party season in the Mediterranean?
- July and August, for Malta, Zante, Mykonos and the Albanian Riviera alike. It's when every venue is open, but also when prices are highest and the big nights sell out early.
- Which months give you the party without the peak crowds?
- June and September. The Malta, Mykonos, Tenerife and Albania sites all point to them as the months with the summer programme running, fewer people and lower prices, and Zante's site singles out September as the insider's pick.
- Are the 2027 party dates out yet?
- Not yet. Venues confirm dates, line-ups and prices when tickets go on sale. Each destination's Party Vibes site has a list you can join to hear first, and worldpartyvibes.com shows the parties already on sale.
