Albania party holidays

Joonianmeri

Albania's party coast is in the far south of the Riviera, on the Ionian Sea right across from Corfu. Sarandë is the town, with a seafront promenade lined with restaurants, cafés and bars. Ksamil, about 15 km south, is the beach village known for white sand, turquoise water and the little islands just offshore; travel media call it the Maldives of Albania.

Tietoa kohteesta Albania

The parties here follow the sun. This stretch of coast faces west, so sunsets over the sea are part of the plan: white parties by the water, pool parties around infinity pools, Ksamil beach clubs that become open-air clubs after dark and a party boat that leaves Sarandë's waterfront in the late afternoon.

Getting there is part of the adventure: ferries cross from Corfu to Sarandë in 30 to 70 minutes, depending on the boat, and Ksamil is another 20 to 25 minutes south by road. For the venue guides, the season line-up and the list for next summer's dates, head to our sister site, Albania Party Vibes.

Usein kysytyt kysymykset

Sarandë or Ksamil: where should I stay for the parties?+

Sarandë is the town, with the seafront promenade, its bars and the boat departures; Ksamil, 20 to 25 minutes south by road, is the beach-club village. There are parties in both, so pick the one that suits your days.

When is the party season in Albania?+

Summer. The Riviera's season runs from spring to October and peaks from June to August; the 2026 parties ran until mid-September. Next summer's dates are confirmed when the official listings go up, and Albania Party Vibes has a list to hear about them.

How do I get to Sarandë?+

The classic route is via Corfu: ferries to Sarandë take 30 to 70 minutes depending on the boat. Albania isn't in the Schengen area, so there are passport checks at the port: bring a valid passport, or your ID card if your government's travel advice allows it.

Do I need to be 18?+

The legal drinking age in Albania is 18, and the Vikingen boat party is strictly 18+. For other parties, check each event's details.

Should I bring cash?+

Yes. Cash is essential outside hotels and bigger restaurants, and paying in lek usually works out cheaper than in euros, which are accepted informally at a worse rate.
